Document Attestation Services
Make Your Documents UAE-Legal — Without the Hassle
What Is Attestation — And Why Do You Need It?
Attestation is the process of verifying the authenticity of a document issued in one country so it can be legally accepted in another — in this case, the United Arab Emirates.
Whether you're applying for a Family Visa, Golden Visa, job, business setup, or property transfer, many personal and corporate documents must be attested before they can be submitted to UAE authorities.
Without proper attestation, your documents will be rejected — even if they’re 100% genuine.
Common Documents That Require Attestation

● Educational Certificates (Degrees, Diplomas)
-
● Birth Certificates
-
● Marriage Certificates
-

How Long Does Attestation Take?
Attestation is a time-sensitive process and varies by country:
-
India, Pakistan, Philippines: 2 to 4 weeks
-
Russia, Europe, USA, Canada: 3 to 6 weeks
-
Egypt, Nigeria, African countries: 4 to 8 weeks
-
● Some complex cases (e.g., missing prior stamps): 8 to 12 weeks
Plan ahead. Many visa or legal procedures cannot move forward without attested documents. Start early to avoid delays.

The Multi-Step Attestation Journey
Attestation is not a single stamp — it’s a multi-level process that involves several authorities.
Here’s how it works for most documents issued outside the UAE:
Standard Attestation Flow:
Step 1 – Home Country Attestation
The document must be first attested by your home country's relevant authority:
- For personal documents: usually the Ministry of External Affairs (MOFA/MEA)
- For corporate documents: Chamber of Commerce, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or equivalentStep 2 – UAE Embassy in Home Country
The document is then submitted to the UAE Embassy in your country for consular attestation
Step 3 – MOFA (UAE)
Once the document reaches the UAE, it must be submitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) in the UAE for final attestation and legalization
Additional Steps (Depending on Country and Document Type):
- Notarization by public notary (e.g., for Power of Attorney, Affidavits)
- Translation into Arabic – mandatory for court use or government submissions
- State-level attestation (for documents from countries like India, Pakistan, Philippines)
💡 Some documents may require 4 or 5 levels of attestation depending on the issuing country and type.
