What is the Investor Golden Visa?
The Investor Golden Visa is a 10-year UAE residency issued to individuals who have invested AED 2 million or more in a UAE-licensed business. It’s designed to reward long-term business contributors with stability, independence, and the ability to sponsor their families without depending on an employer.
This visa is ideal for shareholders, partners, and entrepreneurs who have committed substantial capital into the UAE economy.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Investor Golden Visa under the business route:
AED 2 Million Equity Investment
- The applicant must hold a minimum AED 2 million in paid-up capital
- This must be reflected in the Trade License and Memorandum of Association (MOA)
Based on Shareholding
- If the company has multiple partners, each individual’s share must be AED 2 million or more to qualify
- If total capital is AED 4 million, and two partners have 50% each, both can apply
- If capital is split disproportionately, only those meeting the AED 2M threshold qualify
Supporting Documents Required
- Trade License (valid)
- MOA / Share Certificate / Partner List
- Audited Financial Statement (showing capital structure)
- 6-month personal bank statement (optional but preferred)
- Passport & Emirates ID copy
- Passport-sized photo
